I love the simplicity of these stars, but how effective is that design?  I have used more muted and brown based greens, rather than bright in your face green fabrics.  Subtle fabrics with different designs in them.

I know there is another one of these in me!

Stars are a great non-gender design, add the sweet bunnies and circles in the backgrounds and you have a great baby or little person quilt.

The backing is pieced, and so different to the front.  Jungle animals hiding in the bushes with glimpses of pink and orange.  What fun!

Description

The backing is a funky jungle animal print with 2 vertical strips of green spot fabric. The quilting is a modern simple curvy all over design, using a pale green thread.  The binding is a green and gold metallic fabric which complements the greens in the quilt top.

The design for the stars is by Missouri Star Quilt Company, called “Jelly Star Quilt” and was made using strips of different green fabrics from my stash.  The backgrounds are modern green circles, and cute green bunnies.

This quilt can be washed either by hand or in the machine on a gentle, cold cycle.  I have prewashed the strong colours, but I would advise using colour catchers in the first couple of washes just in case it runs.

I usually dry my quilts on the line, but you can put it in the dryer on a warm not hot cycle.
